Our team has been providing quality design for new home construction and residential additions + expansions for over 20 years. Cole H. Benninger is the owner of CH Benninger. He is an experienced Architectural Designer and Construction Project Manager. He holds a Masters of Architecture (2010) and a Bachelor of Architecture (2009) from The University of Arizona, College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture located in Tucson, Arizona. His Master Thesis, 'Exposed Memory: Weathering of Regional Architecture', focused on the concept that weathering introduces a language of durability and change throughout time. The intent of the research was to analyze regional weathering characteristics specific to the American Southwest as a reflection of a sense of belonging that evolves over time.
His career started young in 2011 with the design and construction of a Concession Facility for Tanque Verde High School located in Tucson, Arizona. The Concession Facility composed of CMU and exposed structural steel was designed and constructed purely through kind donations by over 170 local businesses and was published in The Desert Leaf - Vol.24, No. 6, June 2010.
As part of the Design/Build Coalition in Tucson, Arizona, he has worked in the field on the design and construction of multiple low-income housing projects, working with wood / metal frame construction and rapid prototyping equipment.
Since then, he has over 20 years of professional experience in Architectural Design, Construction Administration and Project Management for large scale international Industrial, Commercial / Retail / Hospitality, and Custom Residential Projects. He has extensive experience working with local Tucson jurisdictions as well as federal government entities, such as the Department of Defense, United States Air Force, United States Marines, United States Navy, United States Army and Veteran Affairs.
He currently lives in Tucson, Arizona and enjoys spending his free time with his beautiful wife and loving children. Before discovering architecture in high school, he spent the majority of his time playing sports; basketball, football, baseball, track & field, volleyball, soccer and golf. He enjoys building close relationships and expanding his professional network. Many of his clients end up being long time family friends.
